we've found a second doc

who'll do less than a masec-
tomy, if he can. The other breast
coming up clean on the mammo-

gram. Though dates have changed.
Surgery's in two weeks
(we had to

find a more propitious day
than the first one which was
“a day of death” in one of her

calendars & too far from full
in the moon cycle).
But it's firm.

And I'm just glad it's
about to be done. This
radical first step back to us.
